Prior to joining Chambers, Mandy read law at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, where she obtained an LLB (with First Class Honour) and PCLL (with Distinction). There, she was awarded Dean’s Lists for 2 years. During her undergraduate studies, she took part in the International Criminal Court Chinese Moot Competition where her team obtained 3rd place.
Mandy was called to the Bar in 2018 after successful completion of her pupillage with Mr. Peter Duncan SC, Mr. Andrew Raffell, Mr. Kenny Lin, Mr. Eugene Yim and Ms. Yvonne Fong.
Mandy has developed an extensive civil practice. Her practice involves contested family and matrimonial matters, commercial disputes, commercial fraud, company and insolvency disputes, contentious probate matters, corporate matters, personal injury matters, and general civil cases. She has appeared in the Court of Appeal, Court of First Instance, the District Court, the Family Court both as a led junior and an advocate in her own right. She has also been briefed to advise on banking matters.
She also has an active practice in criminal law which involves acting for the Department of Justice as a counsel on fiat and as a defence counsel relating to general crime and ancillary criminal matters.
She is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Mandy serves as a member of the Criminal and Law Enforcement Injuries Compensation Boards, an Adjudicator of the Registration of Persons Tribunal and a member of the Advisory Committee on Social Work Training and Manpower Planning. She is currently a member of the Standing Committee on Civic Education of the Hong Kong Bar Association.
