Peter obtained his law degree in the City University of Hong Kong with First Class Honours before completing the Bachelor of Civil Law at the University of Oxford on the Chevening Scholarship. He was called to the Bar in 2014.
Peter regularly appears in the Magistracies and the District Court and has represented clients in cases involving bribery and corruption offences and offences under the Securities Futures Ordinance. On the regulatory side, Peter has appeared for the Securities and Futures Commission (“SFC”) in the Market Misconduct Tribunal. He has experience in advising on cases during the investigatory stage, including interviews by the SFC under s.183 Notice. He is on the Legal Aid Panel for criminal cases.
Alongside his criminal practice, Peter has maintained a general civil practice with experience in adverse possession, commercial disputes.
Peter was a member of the Committee on Criminal Law and Procedure of the Hong Kong Bar Association from 2020 to 2022.
Peter also sat as a Deputy Magistrate in 2022.
